Timo K. Mukka was born in Helsinki in 1954. He has been writing since the age of 13, when he started to publish humorous articles in the local ”Särkänniemi” newspaper in Oulu. His first book, a collection of short stories called ”Vapaus” (Freedom), was published in 1982 in Helsinki
He has since written over twenty books in Finnish, including works of humour, science fiction, mystery and thriller. His novels have been translated into several languages including English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish, and his works have been published in more than 42 countries.
